Spanish re-mortgage

Hi, I am curently trying to switch my mortgage provider in spain. I am wanting to change to an interest only mortgage and have contacted Conti Financial Services, as they are the only people I can find who can offer intest only mortgages in spain. The problem I have is that the estimated cost of switching the mortgage is £6000 on a £98000 mortgage. Is it me, or is this figure way of the mark, perhaps there are extra cost involved in tax when switching, but as I keep pointing out to them, I already own the property, I just want someone else do lend the money to me.

Can anyone shed any light, perhaps the legal system causes these extra costs???????
