Barclaycard Billing for something i haven't use

I had accidentally my Barclaycard credit card destroyed two months ago… I have requested a replacement, but they didn’t delivery yet. Meanwhile I just got my statement billing me for transactions made this month, which i haven't done. How is that possible? Are they ripping me off?
How can I verify if is that true?

you need to phone them up, and tell them you have never used the card in the last 2 months, and 2 investigate this matter, need be, close the account for security reasons, ( put the account on hold)

looks like the card was intercepted in the post...phone them immediately and report the situation.
