Seriously, I have been messed about so much today by John Lewis (both Trafford Centre and Cheadle), reserved them in both stores, both stores had none available when I got there. I was fuming doing a 2 hour trip ion the ice and snow to be told they were sold out!!

Note to anyone ordering from John Lewis .. even when you ring the store, apparently you get diverted to the Hamilton call centre and they go off a computer. In both stores today I was told that they should have rang the toy department to make sure they had them in ... so don't go on the say so of a phone call, get them to check.

Mine is coming from Bluewater - as it is out of stock in my local branch delivery is free!

For others looking in John Lewis stores it may be worth bearing in mind the advent calendar is located in the Christmas Stationery (decorations) department as well as in the toy department.

Oooh, John Lewis Milton Keynes have called me back as well, they have stock. John Lewis Leicester also were pretty sure they had stock but were sending out a personal shopper to make sure!

Delivery of orders under £30 is £3, or free if you local store is out of stock.

Apparently Sheffield are showing a large number in stock as well but the store is closed (I guess due to the weather conditions) so will be worth trying once the store is open again.

Oh that was bad luck - I called them at 4.45 and they called back just before 5.00 to say they had one.

JL Leicester called back at about 6.30 to say had stock. I hope my Bluewater one arrives OK!

Just been to Lego store in Bluewater, they have loads of them but they are still marked up as £24.99 - no signs that they half price until they are scanned at the till. Thanks Claire.

Thankyou, thankyou as always Claire. I just checked emails after work and the 2 city ones from lego.com have been shipped this morning. My 2 youngest are lego mad and will love these when they arrive. Also ordered 2 kingdom ones on back order which will be for next year and hopefully like op said will be one step ahead so get them half price for xmas 2012>well a girl can hope.

Just had a thought Claire, im thinking of 2012 pressies, surely with all the bargains you have found you must be sorted til at least 2090. Only joking I know you post bargains that you probably dont buy (well not all of the time), just share the love. Wish I had manged to get the CK boxers from Debenhams but you cant win them all.
