Q of Car in Bankruptcy

I go to Court 20/11.

How long will it be before the finance Company come to collect the car?

What experiences do you have?

I have ordered a new car on mobility which I will not get until Christmas - it is automatic and you just have to be patient with these things!

If the Company don't collect the car for a couple of weeks after the BR it will be fabulous!

Have added a poll to this thread to make it easier for you to post !

Thanks!

Me neither, as mine wasn't on finance so I got to keep it (it's not worth anything anyway)

Unless you have already received a repossession notice, from the finance company, they probably won't do anything until they are informed, by the OR, of your bankruptcy. I can not be certain, since my car was repossessed by finance co before my bankruptcy, but, looking at the paperwork, it took about 4 weeks, from decision to repossesss to actual repossession.
My guess, therefore, would be between 2 and 4 weeks. They must also inform you of the date.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
