Maybe they are, but I'm giving to the family appeal this year, and I still would be giving if I knew it was going to the "undeserving" poor. No kid deserves a !!!! christmas, it doesn't matter if their parents are genuine victims of circumstance, or wasters who brought it upon themselves. It's the kid I'm buying for.

In general I've found Insurance is only a bit more expensive for young drivers. I've lived in the UK and I don't see a massive difference in house insurances or other persoanl insurances like that
