The end is in sight....then what?

I went BR on January 13th this year, so I am near auto discharge.

I've never had an IPO/IPA as have been on benefits since before the BR started & have never had any surplus.

I did a new SOA in around August as the OR was looking at early discharge, but I've heard nothing since.

I still have an outstanding assest in the form of an endowment policy that was in joint names with my ex-wife. As I understand it, the OR will get half the surrender value & she, the other half.

As far as I know, this is the only matter still outstanding.

My question is, once Jan 13th 2011 comes & goes, is that it? Am I free from all responsibilities to the OR?

I am trying to get back into work (taking an LGV course financed by my mother) so hope to be earning again soon, but I doubt very much that it would be before i'm discharged.

Thanks for any info

Nez

I'm sure someone else will comment on the endowment policy, but if you don't have an IPA and you are discharged then thats it, its over and your free to move on with no obligation to inform the OR about anything further.

Ok, thanks for that. Well that's a relief

Not too bothered what happens with the endowment TBH, I'm not going to benefit, I was just concerned it may hold things up.

    Cheers, Nez
