Good idea though Nix, "posh" shops charge a fortune for this kind of stuff. Although as you've wrapped the fabric over, all that classy mitre stuff will be lost for eternity (tip for others - just use butt joints).
Extra tip: to make sure everything's square, the diagonals should measure the same - if they are different, the frame's wonky.0 -

I EVEN put in a cross brace thingie (extra bit of wood) to keep the frame stable

I've done similar in the past! I've also bought fancy gift wrap and used that in a frame for a great "print" on the wall. 3 similar pieces in 3 matching frames, lined up on the wall also looks good!0

I have picture of my OH laying face down on a bed - I played with the effects on the photo editor - printing off four different effects and have them arranged in a square on my living room at my flat - lovely to stare at when staying there and a very personal meaning to me with happy memories of taking that
looks very arty and expensive.

Samples of wallpaper (usually free at your local DIY shop) with a large pattern in a cheap frame can look really good too. One of my favourite bits of 'art' is an advertising poster from Clintons - I just cut off the advertising bit, and kept the actual picture, then mounted it in frame. Great bargain - spotted it on the floor, where it had been dumped while they redid the window. I asked if I could have it, and not only did they say yes, but the assistant got a fresh unused one from the stockroom. Ikea frame, thus total cost: £2.50.0

That is fantastic, looks great and more expensive than a tenner.
Have you thought about making some more, and selling them onto friends and family ready for Xmas or wedding gifts? You will certainly make a few bob. If you lived near by, I would give you lots of orders for my house.
Well done you - keep up the good work.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Laura Ashley is a great place for getting samples of wallpaper - they let you have a big bit and their wallpaper is lovely. Some of it is very graphic so it looks great in a frame. And it's £20+ a roll usually!0

Instead of making a frame can you just use a normal wooden picture frame without the glass? I have a carrier bag full of these stuck under my bed.I did buy them from bootsale about 4 years ago and never did anything with them, shame to chuck them out after seeing what great artwork you can make old style.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0

I don't see why not, as long as the frame is wood then it should be fine! And even more OS as you don't need to make the frame - which was the tricky bit, me and mitre boxes dont get on and then it needed no more nails glue and nails through the corners LOL
Just stretch the material over and get stapling - and then show us a pic of the results :jComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
