Hi Green, I'm stuck on the killer clue as well but i think the gorgeous canadian is a male who does big band type of music and his surname sounds like the slang terms for a glass of champagne... hope to help...

I'm still stuck on the first one but here's my penny's worth. Brandon Flowers is lead singer of the Killers who are from Vegas and he has new single out. A Canadian singer sounds like Michael buble new album is called hollywood. Hope this helps:0)
