Here are a list of the things I love most about winter;
Duvets
It gets dark early - so kids think its bedtime by 5pm :rotfl::rotfl:
Snuggling up in front of a real log fire and reading a good book
Dressing up warm and going out for a crisp walk
Eating comfort food like casseroles with dumplings, shepherds pie and lovely puds
Hot Chocolate
All the gorgeous chrismassy coffees you can get in Starbucks/Costa
Xmas lights
Xmas shopping - mostly online but its still fun
Going to kids nativity plays- or being lucky enough to be part of it all (I work as a teaching assistant and have been up to my neck in glitter and costumes for 2 weeks now
)
Convincing the kids that your house alarm system that flashes on and off is actually santa watching their behaviour. And them falling for it :T:T
writing xmas cards
playing xmas carol cds
going to Pantomimes.
Would love to know what you all like most?

Seeing all the snow on the trees, wintry bare trees against the sky, breaking up for christmas, christmas morning when the kids come downstairs, all the christmas lights in and on houses, watching christmas films, smelling my real christmas tree.0

I thought we were the only ones to tell our children that the security monitor in the corner of the room is where FC watches them from!
I love cold crisp days.
Snow.
Seeing the birds eating the last bits of the fruit in the copse behind us & coming to feed from our feeders.
Watching the squirrels running like mad things over the garden, frantically burying the nuts that we put out for them.
The excitement my children have as Christmas builds up (we have been counting down the days till the Advent calendar arrives)
Buying & wrapping presents.
I could continue....but I will leave it at this for now!0 -

YIPEEEEEEEEE xxxxMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

Too right. My kids have been sneaking past the monitors since October

Seeing my horse's breath in the cold air.
The moment the invigilator says 'stop writing' in my last exam - this is my 4th year in a row of having exams in December and it's so irritating... they distract me from Christmas!
Despite the name, I'm actually a laydee!0 -

i love loads about winter , as i'm a winter person.
love the dark early evenings and the dark mornings, when i just dive back under the duvet and snuggle up next to my hubby.
Having lots of naughty cuddles on the sofa, but hiding under blankets and duvet with hubby.
hearing the kids singing crimbo songs, and then chnaging the words to make silly one's.
Having mood lighting on in the lounge and watching crimbo dvd's, or reading winter/crimbo stories with the kids.
Seeing the pretty gorgoues blue twinkling crimbo lights we use all over the house.
going into the woods on a frosty day and hearing the twigs, leaves all snapping andd crunching as you walk.
playing lots of games with family do all yr round but winter time is better, lol)
Using the nut cracker to open the nuts and knowing your get at least one nut which wont open, but you wont let it rest, even if it means taken it outside and using a hammer, lol.
OH there is so much i could go on for ages. Best thing is just being with my hubby and our 3 gorgeous children.0 -
Having a cheeky Baileys in the afternoon!0
