Such a good deal, I might buy it for someone for Christmas...

I got one last year for Christmas and it's really good, I don't use it everyday - only at the weekend. A nice little treat for my days off. I would so recommend it.
  • thanks for this! other halfs xmas pressie sorted! been watching interestin videos on you tube on how to make your own pods! so easy and can tailor the coffee to your own favourite blend or create a new one!:)

If you're planning on buying a Senseo machine it's well worth investing in a CoffeeDuck, especially if you've got a Home Bargains near by where you can buy bags of Douwe Egberts or Lyons coffee for 99p.

The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us

Does anyone know how this compares with the Bosch Tassimo T40 which is also half price at Argos? The Tassimo is £30 more expensive but makes different types of drinks as well as coffee eg hot chocalate. Any views on which is the better product? i have them both on reserve until tomorrow. Here's the Tassimo:

  • I have no idea on which is better - I have the Senseo at work. I do know that it is easier to get Tassimo pods though! Can never get senseo pods in Birmingham City Centre shops - have to get them on my weekly main shop. There also seems to be more choice in Tassimo...

Apparently Lidl do their own pods for about a pound a pack. We love our Senseo but pods aren't cheap. Then again a jar of coffee isn't cheap either and the pods taste better. I've reserved another machine for our daughter for Uni to save her faffing about with grinding beans and using a cafetiere.

    Thanks to OP
Have reserved one of the Tassemo as it does hot choc too. Just hope I can get out tomorrow to go and get it. Not looking good in Derbyshire at the mo.
  • I've reserved a Senseo to collect tomorrow. A bit confused about people going for the Tassimo because of hot chocolate though. Senseo does two varieties of hot chocolate. :santa2:

I got OH the tassimo and the Dolce gusto one last year so he could decide which one he'd like, took the Tassimo back. Also got MIL the Senseo one. Now, I sooo wish I'd got OH the Senseo one as you can make your own pods and the pods are cheaper than others anyway. With the Dolce one it is impossible to make your own pods but not sure about the Tassimo on :)
