Can Tassimo discs be used in my DeLonghi espresso machine?

My friend has some Tassimo discs which she doesn't want. Does anyone know if I'd be able to use them in my DeLonghi Espresso machine? My machine does take pods but ESE pods and I don't think they're the same. If they don't fit in my machine, is there any way to make use of them? For example, would it be possible to cut the pod to size or to scoop out the contents of the pod and add hot water?

Apologies if this query isn't in the right place - I wasn't entirely sure where to put it. Thanks in advance for any advice.

you could try scooping the pod contents into the thing er that you scoop coffee into and attach to the machine and the machine then pushes water through the coffee iykwim? if it's plain filter coffee you could scoop it out and use with hot water in a caffetierre

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I know what you mean. Have you tried it before? I wondered about doing that but I'm a bit scared of breaking my machine.

I wouldn't put it in your machine, I tried putting loose coffee in my pod machine once and all the coffee grounds came through. Cafetiere should be fine though.
