Shares In Company

Morning,

I was given a small number of shars in my last employment.
I have since moved onto pastures new, but was assured that the company would buy my shares of me as it was a stipulation within the articles of assocation.

My question is - whilst employed, i was given
a % against dividends paid to the directors. Should i still receive a % of any dividends paid since i moved on ?

Is the company a public or private limited company?

Eitherway, if you are a formal shareholder the board should determin the level of dividence to be paid to each ordinary share and this duely given out. Obviously if it is a Plc then the system is much more strictly monitored than a Ltd but the rules would be the same.

I know some companies do run share schemes either as reward or a saving scheme in which case the shares are not actually ordinary shares in which case the rules can be different (eg you dont gain the right of a vote)
