Confidential Waste

Couldn't think where else to post this!

I have 2 full lever arch files full of confidential letters, documents etc. It would take ages to shred two pages at a time!

Does anyone know of how you can dispose of bundles of papers confidentially?

Fire would be the fastest way, but I'd contact your local council first if you live in a residential area as you may need permission- you may get complaints from neighbours or cause a hazzard which is generally why you need to ask first.

I have a shredder, I am extremely lazy when it comes to shredding, I don't throw away confidential information (anything with my address on it gets shredding) but save it all up to be shredded in one go. I had to get a new shredder last year and the best I could find was one which would take up to 7 normal pages at one time. It was from Amazon (Fellows? I think) but very expensive. I settled for Tesco who had a shredder which cuts 5 pages at a time and was a fraction of the cost.
