Hi,
Anybody use a DAB? are they any good and are there any offers around?

I've got about £100 to spend on a radio for my bathroom.

Cheers

    Raza,

Got a Pure Evoke in cherry for Christmas.

Amazing bit of kit and around your price range.

However, no good in the bathroom being mains powered!

Suggest you check out empiredirect, kelkoo and other price sites for offers.

I think they can be quite power hungry though. Might be worth looking out for a 12v one with separate transformer you can fit well away from wet areas.

Can't remember every seeing a bathroom friendly DAB

    good luck.

Bought Mum a Pure Evoke 2 DAB radio for Xmas for her kitchen - it's been fab so far and you can flick between FM and DAB if DAB can't pick up a favourite station.

It does take batteries but also think very power hungry!
  • ALTHOUGH its not a dab i got a cd player and radio for my wife from one of the gadget shops , the batteries have lasted ages.

I think it was a science museum brand or something , the quality of the radio was quite good as is the teeny speakers and cdr pickup.IT can be had from 30-80 quid but sorry no dab as of yet.

I saw a combined Bush DAB/CD/Cassette player in Argos for around £60 recently. Don't know if it runs on batteries.
  • try https://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk for price comparisons

I picked up a Pure Evoke 1-xt for £60 at Argos and a Pure Tempus-1 for £90 looking at current prices it's worth the extra couple of quid for the Tempus
