Unbeleivable, well not really, it ALWAYS happens. Just decided to contact payplan re debts and found out about this site- starting to feel warm and cosy cos everyone is so supportive then the washing machine dies just when I have a huge pile of washing! Live in the sticks so no launderette. No spare cash, no-one to borrow off so decision time.

Tried that, it is making a loud clonking noise when it spins and also fuses all the lights in the house.Mutual Supporters club member (Nov 2006)

morning loneranger,
I second Lynz, my washing machine packed up a few days ago, turns out that I had a blocked filter (who knew it even had a filter?!?) due to the amount of hair clogged in it (gross!). Have a read through the instruction manual, they usually have a troubleshooting section. It may even be cheaper to get a repair man out, do you have any friends/ family that could do it or recommend someone?Saving for an early retirement!0 -
hmm avoid then
yeah try freecycle - you might end up with one
ANd dont forget to sell your old one on ebay for parts

Hi
Have you joined your local Freecycle group? If youve never heard of it, its a group where people list their unwanted items, all you have to do is collect them, it is all free! The idea is to keep stuff out of landfill sites. On my local group, I have often seen washing machines on there. WOrth a look? You can also list wanted items too, so worth a shot, especially if someone is thinking of getting rid of something but hasnt got round to doing anything about it yet!0 -
wow, freecycle, completely new to me! thanks folks, there is one near to me, this site is the best thing thats happened to me.Mutual Supporters club member (Nov 2006)
