I have expressed interest in Renewable energy in the last few months and came across a company Ecoventi who offers all forms of Renewable Energy. Has anybody installed solar photovoltaics ? I'm interested in there products but was looking for some advice on efficiency, everything they have said seems to match up with research done on-line, right down to the prices and the payments from the government (NIrocs). What i would like to know is ordinary people using this equipment and any advice which could help my decision of adding this equipment to my house

We looked into it earlier in the year.

We were told there would be hugely more efficient photovoltaic cells arriving in the next couple of years that would be something like 400% more effective for half the price (or something like that)

So we left it. We have the type that heats water in the meantime.
  • There are grants available for the solar thermal panel systems

personally I dont think the technology is there yet, its constantly changing, make sure your system can adapt in the future and is 'modular'.

You might want to think about geothermal for similar money??

If the oil price hike is anything to go by.........conventional oil fired central heating has had its day....it's not sustainable!
