picture mount needed any advice please

hey guys well i did a couple prints 12x18 and have bought 2 frames but the mount that came with it looks rubbish so im looking to buy two, the frame size is 18" x 24" and the mount aperture size is 12" x 18" i found a site and they wanted £5 each but then £8 delievery and thought that was to high. has anyone else got any ideas of where i can get these at a good price.

how about trying a small independent framer or a craft/stationary shop

Our local market have a stall which sells mounts and frames , try locally they are usually quite cheap. hth

If you go to a local picture framer they will cut a mount to the exact size for you and it will probably be much cheaper. I've done this many times - its a cost effective way of making a photo or picture look like its been professionally framed.


I think you can also find standard size mounts and cut to fit mounts in ebay shops which I'd have thought would have cheaper p&p.

I've bought a few of these at the range. They've got a few types (double mounts, different colours) and quite a few sizes to fit most frames. HTH
