Giving cream cakes

I plan on making a Black Forest gateau as a Christmas present for the office staff this year, but I'm a bit worried about giving a cake made with fresh cream. There is a fridge they can keep it in, but I'm worried that it won't all get eaten straightaway and I don't know how long to tell them it will keep for.
Can anyone help?
I wanted to make this particular cake because it's rather special, I've never made one before and I have some Morello cherries to use up.

I wouldnt keep fresh cream longer than a day in the fridge and at room temp for about 4 hours. I know this sounds like its not a lot of time but when I worked in a supermarket they werent allowed to donate the fresh cream items to the Sally Army for distributing in case they were from the morning batch. and with fresh cream I tend to err on the side of caution.0

If you'd brought one to my office, there'd be no chance of any being left the next day!! :jI want my sun-drenched, wind-swept Ingrid Bergman kiss, Not in the next life, I want it in this, I want it in this
Use your imagination, or you can borrow mine!0 -

Thanks. It sounds as though giving this kind of cake isn't a good idea. I might make a cherry cheesecake or something instead.0 -

It could be a good excuse for them to get it down them as fast as possible.:rotfl:0 -
I took a strawberry and fresh cream homemade cake into work at 9am once and it was eaten in exactly as long as it took to cut it! Didn't even last until morning break.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
