How to clean roasting pans/dishes?

Ok, so as the question stands - how do you clean your roasting pans/dishes?
We bought Anolon roasting pan/tin with the rack. It is only a year on, and the coating has started coming off. It is covered in brownish dots/spots, and although we wash it thoroughly every time we use it, it is looking manky!
So, how do you clean it? What can I do to make it looking clean and once I get a new one - can I do to prevent this happening again (the discolouration and bubbling up coating)?

I clean mine by putting water and a little washing powder into it and heat it gently on the top of the stove and it loosens all the hard bits.0

Where did you buy it? I`d request a free replacement.0

I use a kettle of boiling water and a couple of teaspoons of dishwasher powder and soak overnight.
If that doesn't do it I use boilling water a few teaspoons of bio washing powder and a good splash of bleach.
If that doesn't work, I hide the evidence and buy a new one.0 -
Bluebag and Janey's tip works well. Also once it is clean and dry rub it with veg oil. It will help stop the brown marks coming back.0

Hi, I once saw Kim & Aggie clean a badly coated oven dish with meat tenderiser of all things! Brought it up like new! Tried it myself (I bought Schwartz) & hey presto, it worked. Not cheap, but better than buying new dishes, I thought. Mine are cast iron ones, but it also works on pyrex.0

We bought it from Debenhams last year. The soaking bit - that is what we do, put hot water in, with a dash of washing up liquid, and leave it to soak. I guess that is what caused the coating to 'bubble up'. And I still have it spotty.
I will try soaking it with bio washing powder and see if that helps. If not - the meat tenderiser is going to have a go as well!
I am just upset that we seem to have to buy new roasters very often due to them loosing their coating! And no - I am not using an abrasive sponge.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Washing powder is a tip i must try! I usually use a spray by fairy in an opaque green bottle, it works really well.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0

also putting foil on them (bacofoil sheets) helps keep them cleaner0
