I find this annoying, as for the last 8 years we have had fornightly and sometimes weekly deliveries from them probably 75% of the time and 25% with Asda. My brother and his wife apparently got an E-Mail offering them delivery slots and I think they have only been receiving deliveries the last year or two. I'm tempting just to go with Asda this year.

For what dates though? I want our delivery to be the 22nd, but I'm guessing the majority will be going for the 23rd.

By Friday, the majority of slots could be gone. Well done Tesco, this makes absolutely no marketing sense whatsoever.

Surely, for those wanting the 21st/22nd, those slots will be released Wed/Thurs, seeing as today you can book for the 19th.

    Confusing.

Delivery is also free on certain days if you spend over £100 with them. They have 1 hour slots too and when we used them last time, they were 5 minutes late and the driver automatically gave us a £10 voucher for next shop as he was late

This is much the same as last year ........"regular valued customers" were given the chance to book Christmas delivery slots early.:(

There was a lot of ill feeling about the selection process, mainly because Tesco CS couldn't really clarify how people were picked as priority customers.
Last year I pointed out that as we only had a Tesco in our village all my shopping was delivered and petrol was purchased from them as well as having 2 car insurances and pet insurance with them..........advised that this was not enough to warrent being selected!!!!!

Needless to say all insurance policies changed (money saved!!) at renewal dates and thankfully a small Waitrose has now opened so my Christmas delivery will be booked with them:T
It seems Mr T never learns that not treating all customers as "valued" you actually lose business.

Tesco are so annoying, I remember all this from last year!
I've been shopping with Ocado since July, so much better & in my opinion no more expensive.
I booked my Christmas shopping slot for 23rd weeks ago. There was no favouritism, everybody got the same chance. Their delivery rates are better too-£9.99 per month for as many deliveries as you want £40 or over. I've never had a substitution or a problem with my delivery.
