Hi all,
Yet again my printer is out of ink, its a HP Deskjet 970cxi, and the cartridges HP78 are around £25 a piece.
Does anyone know where I could get these cheaper?
or
Should I buy an new all in one printer with cheaper cartridges? (suggestions welcome as my scanner is a bit poo!)
I do a fair amount of printing but I wouldnt say excessive.
HELP!!!

Have you considered using remanufactured/refilled cartridges? One of the main advantages of HP cartridges is that the print head is built in and all reputable refillers will offer a replacement guarantee if a cartridge doesn't work so you don't damage anything in the printer by using them. A quick Google found your cartridges for £11.99 at Cartridge Express bt I'm sure you can find many other offers.0

I have used both remanufactured & refilled cartridges and find these to be far inferior to originals which cost a bomb.0

HP No.78 - C6578D 19ml 'Light use' Tri-colour Ink Cartridge

PS watch the "all in printers" All very useful but when you want to do some serious scanning you may find that the quality is not as good as stand alone scanner. That was the case a couple of years back and perhaps better, but please check it out.0
