Can anyone recommend a driving instructor in Newcastle Upon Tyne?

I'm looking to learn to drive. Anyone have any experience with decent driving instructors in Newcastle?

Also, what do you think is best? Big companies like AA/BSM or independent instructors??

If you visit the direct . gov site then enter choosing a Driving Instructor in the search box, there is a find your nearest driving instructor option
