Tribunal - is this normal?

Hi all, OH was 1st assessed by the CSA in sept 09, PWC appealled in oct 09, appeal denied, sent to tribunal as PWC claims lifestyle inconsistant (yes we have cc's/loans for 47K), assests in excess of 65,000 (the house we live in), Income not taken into account (my wages), & Diversion of income (thinks I pay money into the kids accounts). We were originally told appeal likely to be heard Jul 10 but didn't hear anything till sept 10 when we had to send a full household income and expediture declaration and answer several q's about our old partnerships accounts (couldn't understand this as q's related to tax yr 2 yrs previous to effective date). We know the tribunal service recieved this as they copied it back to us. But we haven't heard anything since. Is this within normal timescales for the tribunal service or do you think we need to chase this up?
I'm disgusted with OH over his attitude to all this, if I mention it to him he goes in a mega huff, the only reason the payments are being made is I set up a SO to the CSA (idiots told him in feb not to make any more payments till issue with 10 weeks of payments paid direct resolved, leading to arrears that would be major by now plus QC going without) now I'm really upset because he refused to even send his daughter a birthday card last week, he won't accept the things she said to him last year are clearly due to the b***h ex. sorry I know this is irrelavant to Q but I'm so pee'd off with him

Its a slooooooooooow process. Every piece of correspondance is sent out with carrier pigeon. Has the appeals unit in Blackppol send in their submission.0 -

Yes CSA sent full tribunal bundle out in something like March, and I think tribunals service sent us a copy in May. Only update to tribunal bundle was a copy of what we sent them, so I presume PWC hasn't sent any of her so called evidense in. Blackpool Appeals unit denied appeal on the grounds I recieve the childcare element of working tax credit.0 -

Blackppols another comedy club. They are just about to get another flea in their ear of me. They could have cancelled the tribunal at any time once they had realised their mistake.0 -
Alwayspuzzled - I waited from December 2009 until just this month for my appeal to be heard, desite me ringing up and nagging everyone I possibly could. Eventually NACSA on my behalf put a boot up the tribunal backside and I got my hearing date within a week. NACSA were complaining on my behalf and quite a few other cases that had been left hanging by the tribunal service. Are you with NACSA? Just a thought. If not, just keep hounding the tribunal office until they get sick of hearing from you. Good luck when you do get your hearing. I was successfull at mine, which is great but I know it will still be a long haul.
By the way, I don't blame you for being disgusted with your OH's attitude towards his daughter. (what is he thinking! no birthday card)!! As you say, I'm sure alot of the problems with his relationship is due to the ex, I've experienced that first hand! Good for you for making sure the QC doesn't suffer financially, though. Things would be a whole lot different for my ex, and my daughter had his new wife taken your attitude. No, instead, she has been enjoying the life of ladies who lunch for more then 2 years, knowing full well that her beloved 'romeo' (sniggering here)doesn't pay one penny for his own child.
I often wondered what she sees in him TBH. I guess her little luxuries in life are worth more to her then worrying about silly little things like his children. Sorry, now that was me having a mini rant!0 -
As NRPP I don't think I can phone the tribunal service on his behalf, haven't actually tried but with data protection etc??? I've assumed not. He won't even consider phoning himself, head in the sand/ denial and all that. I was really hoping it would all be over by christmas, but as we don't even have a date yet I guess its still going to be hanging over us well into the new year.
We are with NACSA, I think I'll try emailing our contact there and seeing what she advises. I don't know why I find all this so stressful as I am 100% sure we haven't lied/hid anything so therefore the tribunal should agree with the CSA's assesment but still........ Mind I also know that PWC won't rest until she recieves her stated intention of "I will take more than half of both your incomes combined and get a share of your house too, I will make sure your children are left with nothing"0 -
As others have said, we been to 2 Tribunals and the last one took over a year from the CSA submission, as lots of other evidence was requested etc etc, and CSA did not adhere to their document deadlines, thus causingmore delays.
Tribunal are snowed under with appeals at present, so could be quite a wait0
