Would it not be better to get in 15 mins early and then leave on time at the end of the day?0 -
Call centre work is not for everyone. If you are the sort of person who is occasionally 1-2 minutes late or works best when you can take short breaks, then it might be better to start looking for another job. The sort of job with an in-tray and an out-tray rather than the sort of job that times you when you go to the lavatory. It is always easier to get a job when you are in work than out of work, so start looking now. In the meantime, knucle down, be the model employee and make sure that you are never late from now on.0

Yes you can be disciplined for coming into work late and coming back from break late. Also at the moment there are no hard written rules regarding VDU use, only advice.
I'd personally sack someone who couldn't be bothered to come into work on time on a regular basis as it demonstrates a poor attitude to the job.0 -
The company I work for has lateness built in as part of the absence policy and is therefore very much a disciplinary matter. Also any overtime for us must be agreed in advance with a Manager and then we get paid for it. Anything else is generosity/work ethic on your part and doesn't get paid for - maybe just brownie points!Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0
