Good news is you can now buy energy saving light bulbs in Tesco for 20p , load up a white van and take them to Spain where they sell for 2 euro each at the boot sales as there is no subsidy in Spain on bulbs so they cost a lot. Remember they use the screw ones. Then load the van with booze and fags and come home. That's Xmas sorted.

I didn't make the rules . If they didn't want you to do this then there would be a law against it

You say "I am not working any more so I don't mind sharing this sure fire method of working less for the same money ."

so you making a nice little income to feed your alcoholism and cigarette addiction how nice

Where that tax office hotline, name/address so I can grass you up ;)

Please point out which laws would be broken in such transactions. As long as any income tax due was paid on earnings. This is Europe . That's how its done now.

Wouldn't you have to sell an awful lot of light bulbs to make a profit after petrol costs, etc.?

You must has some money being able to afford a van, petrol, ferry and then buying light bulbs

Maybe you could hang them around the van and connect to battery and be all lit up on your way to Spain, put on a red suit and call yourself Santa like Coke advert on smaller scale

That is exactly what I said to the guy selling them in Spain last month.
He had a lot and was selling them faster than he could get them out of the van. I checked one and it was small spiral energy saving bulb from Tesco. I bought some from Tesco when I got back and they were 20p.
