Love, Morals and Money

Hello all,

I'm in need of a little help. I am slowly drowinging in unpaid bills, circa. £150 bank charges each month and pet food payments.

Obviously my sensible option to help for a start is to loose my boys. As cute as these little wipper snappers are, they are costing me a small fortune to keep fed, and if that wasn't bad enough, 2 weeks ago one of them came home with a broken leg. The vets bills, of course, are astronical, and did I have pet insurance? No.

So now I'm trying to feed two cats, and trying to pay vets bills, I've got my sensible hat on, I've not paid my water bill, or more imortantly council tax for about 4 months, I just don't have the funds.

Now as much as I don't want to "get rid" of them, I already have three jobs, so taking on another one isn't really an option, unless I miraculously find something that fits in perfectly.

Question is, would it be completely morally wrong to hand over my cats now to somewhere like cats protection or pdsa knowing that one has a broken leg and will need a little treatment in the not too distant future? I don't think I can afford another month of food, although thankfully my nan is being a love and buying them food too. What's a girl to do? I don't want to starve the poor little things....but don't feel it's right just to hand them over broken. They are only 5 months old, and would be rehomed quickly so I'm told, but still..... :'(

    hi

We need to see your SOA.

And did you ask the PDSA or Cat's protection if they could help with the treatment?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • SOA?

No i've not asked, So I've read they only help people on housing and counciltax benefit, of which I'm not eligible for either.
