Free ringtones

I got this earlier via email and thought I'd share it with my fellow freebie finders on here

Hi James,

To celebrate the launch of our new look website we are giving away free ringtones for your mobile phone!

This is a new service on Simalert and as with all our other services, it's 100% free.

To get your free ringtone or tones (you can have as many as you want) just visit http://www.simalert.com and click on the Ringtones option towards the bottom on the front page. You will need a Simalert site account (not mailing list account) to get your tones, but these are free and still come under our 100% no spam and 100% privacy policy. Members of our forum will already have one of these accounts.

You can download ringtones in the following format, Midi, Mp3, Wav, Amr and Mmf. There are current popular music tones, comedy tones, strange and funny noise tones etc. so there should be something for everyone and every phone. Why pay elsewhere for these items when we give you them free?

You can download the tones to your computer and then transfer them to your mobile phone, or if you phone supports mobile web browsing you can browse to that location and download them directly to your phone.

You can be assured, we will never ever charge you for this. We are a free website that offers our service 100% freely. We aren't there to make a profit, it's an online community with many services that are all supported by our users donations. We don't use advertising and we certainly don't charge people for our services.

I am not sure why it said that, but I've just checked and they are working fine now, so feel free to try again.

We had to add the registration system as on the day of launching the ringtones service we used just over 9 gigabytes of our bandwidth on tones alone!! This was a little scarey, so to control it we made it a members only feature, although memership is still free and there's no hidden catches, no spam, just friendly free services. If you don't have an account, it should prompt you to create one, if not let me know via PM and I'll help you out.

The tones work for me, there's the odd one that appears corrupted from time to time, but I've got seberal off there and our members are constantly using the service, it appears to be working without issue for them. If a download fails, try a different one. Remember there are many types of download on there including midi, MP3 and others. Some may not be compatible with your phone, but you can select the format that are and then search through them for tones.
