My local branch of Courts down the road is closing down in the next week or so and I was wondering what my chances would be of buying at a reasonable price/getting for free the desks they use there, and perhaps some of their computer gear.
I really need more desk space but I can't afford the stuff they have in those office furniture catalogues. The very sight of paying £70 for a reasoanable non leather chair and £150 or so for a normal desk with perhaps a few draws sends me blue. So ideally I'm after some secondhand office stuff but in good nick.
It'd be a shame to see them skipped particularly as they don't look too bad.
I read about some warehouse in East London where they have loads of secondhand office furniture (it was featured in some TV program). Anyone know what I'm talking about?
Thanks.
