Butcher in Antrim or Downpatrick where i can get a Norfolk Black Turkey?

Does anyone have any reccomendations?

I live in downpatrick and my parents in antrim and i am going to them for xmas so either area is grand.

  • The Asda magazine says they will have them for Christmas but they don't do an ordering service so you'd be taking a chance. M&S definitely have them to order but they're pricey.

    Nah, I've done it a few times, it makes the breast more juicy. You have to make sure the bird is well blead though and you need to prop the breast up on either side.

    Yes! I always cook my turkey upside down except for the last hour when I turn it right way up to brown the breast skin. This is how my mum did hers and it ensures the breast meat doesn't dry out.

    Get a good turkey like a bronze or black and they dont dry out

    I can buy cheap everything else but I pay for a good free range norfolk every year and never had a dry one yet
