Can anyone help me - NHS maternity pay.

    Also Maternity Pay is now calculated in Calendar Days rather than weekly/Monthly, which can sometimes cause discrepancies.
    I tend to provide expectant Mothers with a Schedule showing how much they get each week for 39 weeks with a Total at the bottom, then a Month on Month Schedule showing what the get each Month. I also use this schedule to double check what the payroll software calculates is in agreement. I find that even if people can't understand the Month on Month calculation, they can see the 2 figures match at the end of the day, so go away happy :-)

    That would have been really helpful to have had, but when I asked our payroll I was told, on numerous occasions, that they wouldn't do it. I think they should do it for everyone, its hard to budget when you don't know whats coming in every month!

  • hi guys hav been readin these posts, i also am employed fulltime by nhs, for over 3 years, but hav been on the sick due to depression from week 11, i am getting full sick money, and i understand this will continue to week 34, until they sign me off onto maternity pay.

    i am concerned that although i hav been receiving full sick money, that they may cut my maternity.

    can any of you help me ???

    You'll get the occupational maternity pay (if you plan on coming back and sign to say that)

    Claire you mention union subs - check with your union I'm with the RCM and they suspend your union subs while on mat leave and keep your cover going if you ask them to
