Trouble choosing a wedding ring? me too :(

I'm seriously glad h2b chose my engagement ring on his own, it would've taken me months!

I'm trying to choose a wedding ring and it's really really hard. I have small hands and don't want anything that's going to make my engagement ring end up on my second knuckle, and it has to be 9k gold and not too high or the stone in my ring gets in the way! I never realised it would be this tough!

Any chance of some assistance, pretty please? What do you think will go with this ring?

I chose a plain white gold band. I like simple designs and I didnt want it to go out of fashion is 10 years time!

Have you tried any on with it?

Yes, I've tried lots of plain bands in places like Ernest Jones - but the trouble is the shape really. the bits of the ring either side of the stones are quite square, so the roundness of the bands looks wrong. I know that's a poop description of what I'm trying to say. I need a ring the same shape and thickness really of the band bit of the engagement ring, and it's particularly hard to search when you know zero ring terminology!

this is it on my finger (it looks much shinier in real life, weirdly dull in this photo)

you can see that the band is quite thick, but not where you'd expect, it's sort of tall, although i know that sounds mad.

ahh ok so its the actual shape thats the issue.
if you tried on a rounded band, what about some of the squarer shapes shown here...

Ah, brilliant "flat profile" makes much more sense than "tall" Cheers!

Where did the ring come from? Could you get in touch with them and ask what wedding ring they would recommend?
That's what I will be doing with mine nearer the time. When we ordered I went for somewhere that did a wide range of wedding rings too, especially as my ring in palladium.

I'm not sure, i'll have to speak to h2b and then go in there i think.

I quite like this one, although i hadn't intended to have stones in it

thats a lovely ring...but if you have it as a wedding band you're not leaving much choice for an eternity ring at a later date....!!!

You make a very good point there! Cor, this is difficult! To make things more complicated, h2b wants a ring with the greek key pattern around it, but wants to try it on in a proper shop, not buy it online!

I say it lots on here..but why not head to a local jeweller who has a workshop attached to the shop...go and see if bespoke is an option for both rings....people tend to think that its just too expensive but a lot of the time a specially made ring actually doesn't work out more than a good quality hgh street one.
If you feel really brave then why not think about something like this...no idea of price but it could be really special for you both
