Quidco and Insurance

Quidco have some evry generous cashback deals for switchig various insurances through their site. However, there are insurance companies that are far cheaper which are not on Quidco.
Is is possible to change insurance through quidco, receive the very high cashback that some of them give and then cancel it after a couple of months? Just wandering as Barclays give £95 back, but over the course of a year it isn't worth it.
Let me know.
Thanks.

Watch out as it takes a few months before payment of your cash back, I used top cash back for my insurance with lloyds tsb £110 cash back made my insurance £67 fully comp. You cant take the trousers off an elephant!0

I am interested in this for my home contents and buildings insurance.
Do you think you get the cashback for both policies? (like if you took buildings with one and contents with another you should get cash back for each… not sure though…)0 -
I've done my car insurance with Prudential through Quidco and its taking forever for them to pay.
Its tracked ok.. £100... but wheres this payment with in a month rubbish Quidco state!!
Anyone gotten their cashback from prudential yet?0 -
Yeap - I did that exact thing about 1 month ago - £90 from Lloyds TSB (although that didn't track - and is currently still being chased) and £70 from Privilege.
My boyfriend also changed his car insurance.
Last year he took our the Lloyds TSB cashback offer (£70 at the time) whish made him better off in the long run.
His renewal came through - dearer than it came up online - so he cancelled his renewal and has gotten £110 cashback from Topcashback - only done through that site as Quidco seem to be having issues with Lloyds TSB tracking ATM - and that tracked fine on there.
So currently, Quidco query pending, we have £270 pending insurance cashback at the moment!
Wunderbar!

I'd also be wary about buying insurance through quidco.
I recently brought an annual travel insurance policy - got a quote through money supermarket site and then went onto the same insurance companies website through quidco and the quotes were much higher! even with cashback not worth doing through quidco.
And this happened with a couple of the insurance companies...
shows it pays to shop around...0 -
I won't be using Quidco again. Did our car insurance with them way back in June. Supposed to be getting £90 from Lloyds TSB. Have e-mailed them a couple of times and the reply I got last time was "we're still waiting for these to come back but we've been in contact with them recently and it shouldn't be much longer!"
I am still keeping my fingers crossed but I am losing hope.0 -

Ditto! I done the same in June!
But what i did find out that when payment came through, i had not set up an account with them, by setting up an account you have to wait a further 10 clear days (as below), so i'm now having to wait till the end of this month!
(PayPal, BACS and Minimum Payout
In order to get paid, you must have selected either PayPal or BACS as a Payment Method, entered the appropriate payment details and have your Minimum Payout set (to less than your received earnings) in My Settings. For security reasons, no payments will be made from your account for 10 days after you have changed your payment details. If this occurs during a payment period you will have to wait for the next payment period before your payment will be sent out.)But first, the most asked question:
Q "Is anything worn under your kilt???"
A "No. Everything is in perfect working order Thank You!!."0 -

if you want to put quidco out of business and ruin it for all of us then that sounds great yeah!0 -
I also took insurance out with Lloyds TSB early June, I had to submit an enquiry, as it hadn't tracked, but they successfully paid me in the October BACS payment - no message to tell me payment was coming - a lovely surprise though!!!0

I wonder if Quidco are underhanded?????????
Do they say its 'not tracked' then pocket the money????????0
