I just need a little help and support..

Options
Hi all Ive been wondering around this site quite a bit and subscribing to a few threads but I havent created one until now as I was a bit scared! Ive seen all the help and support all of the other forum users have had and wondered if I could lend a little bit?

Basically I have a debt of £1,700 which i know is not massive and i have a plan to sort it out its my OH im worried about.

They are currently in debt by about £900 which is a first for them and im trying to help so much but i cant seem to make any suggestions that stick with them.

Ive suggested paying £150 a month as after they pay their part in the bills they are left with approx £500 but this seems to panic them??

This months bills were a little short and the OH actually started to panic at the fact they would have £375ish to live (not pay bills.. rent electricity etc) until the 23rd Dec! I thought this was extremely silly as my part time wage salary per month (im also at university) is £385!! and i still manage to help them when they have spent up!!

I dont know what to do im carrying them and myself.. how do i stop them impulse buying and get them on the right track.. i know they want to get out of the debt but its like banging my head off a wall!!

Any advice will be appreciated!!

Jenna :)

Its very difficult TBH if they havent had their own lightbulb moment.
£375 seems a lot to me too!
Maybe just concentrate on your own debt meantime?
