Credit Score Problem

Hi,
I have an usual problem with my credit score and was hoping somebody had some advice or may have been in a similar situation.
My house has an official name, and an unofficial number. I'm on the electoral role under the unofficial number, when lenders search for my credit score they can only search under the house name so are unable to find me. I have been unable to secure a mortgage because of this.
I have started the ball rolling by requesting a change of address at the electoral register I understand that I will need to wait for this to feed through to the credit agencies. My concern is that even when the address has been updated the agencies will still refuse me as I will not have been at the new address very long and a search on the prvious address would turn up a blank again.
Any advise would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Beth
