MAY need a loan for a few days..?!!
About to move house, no date yet but it could even be Friday...aren't solicitors wonderful..?!!
Problem is that if it is Friday it may mean that part of our money is not yet through. We are dispensing with a mortgage and downsizing so have been scraping all our cash together from various sources!!
It will mean that we are £11,000 short possibly. My question is ...if this happens, bearing in mind that it will be VERY short term, what would be the best way of obtaining the cash....put it on credit card or what...???
As we no longer wish a mortgage then we certainly do not wish a loan to last long!! Not sure a buildng soc or bank would organise a short term loan though ....I know they do "bridging loans" but no idea at what rate of interest etc....
Any suggestions please..??

Yes, I've heard of bridge loans for these kinds of situations too and I would def look into it.0

Our "cash-in" is our private pension with Prudential .. seems they are deliberately delaying payment ..i s this normal...seems that whilst they earn interest on our money they are just making excuses ... agh!! Anyone I can complain to ..??0

As you are not a first time buyer (obviously) why are you exchanging and completing on the same day? It is a high risk activity to do that really should be avoided when at all possible. As soon as you exchange you set the completion date in stone and then you can plan all the things like removal vans, fund transfers etc without the risk of the date moving (or the whole thing falling through)
Once you have a final response in writing from the Pru on your complaint you can then ask the FOS to investigate it (if you arent happy with their response) but you are talking weeks not daysAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
