This is just the sort of attitude that is taking the fun out of childhood. :rolleyes:Peter_Kendrick wrote:This is just the sort of junk food that is killing our kids and making them obese. Some people have no sense.
There's nothing wrong with these sweets if kids (and adults!
) brush their teeth properly, eat them in some kind of moderation and get some exercise. The sweets in and of themselves aren't going to kill anyone or make anyone obese unless the rest of their diet is poor.
Thanks for posting the bargain, mamajustify. I'll be getting some to [STRIKE]kill-off[/STRIKE] pacify the local trick-or-treaters. :eek:0 -
And why do these sweets have to be eaten by children? Suspect I'd have to hide them from my partner.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Yes ok one/a few sweets as a treat if they are good but posts don't talk about moderation but a bucket of 4kg of sweets with a usual retail price of £20 and the OP appears to be giving one to each of their children at Christmas. Will they be eat in moderation when they open their stocking? - as I child I never did I gouged on them till I felt ill! (and I only got little bags not 4kg).
Eating 4kg of sugar is likely to cause weight increase regardless of if the rest of the diet is the good/poor, even with the best nutritional calculated high exercise sports diet I doubt 4kg of sugar is allowed.0 -

My son is not a kid, he is an adult, 6 foot tall and has a 28 inch waist and not at all overweight nevermind obese. Not that I need to justify my purchases, just for information. He eats treats in moderation so it will take him months to get through this lot, plus he has loads of mates to help him!! Oh he doesn't drink or smoke and has a healthy diet, so think we have some sense!!!!!!!!0 -
Saw these in Chesterfield, near the entrance (before you get to the Halloween things).
