sounds about right to me. I've not heard of the brand in question but it is ridiculously cheap. However why not get a DVD rewriter that will hold ten times as much info? From the same site they have this http://www.ukdvdr.co.uk/shop/Lite-On-DRW-6S160P-16x-CD-DVD%B1RW-DL-Internal-Drive-Black-pr-18968.html
which is a dual layer DVD burner by a well known brand and is still pretty cheap. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
yes if u havent got a cd/dvd writer0

Definitely the way to go. I just bought a new dvd burner from here http://ebuyer.com/UK/cat/Optical-Drives/subcat/DVD-RW-Drives.BillScarab wrote:sounds about right to me. DVD burners can be used to burn cds, they aren't confined to dvds. Also you'll need software to actually burn your files to disc.0 -

Can I download free software for this or use something like windows media player to burn cd/dvds?0 -
There are many free programs such as deep burner (http://www.deepburner.com/?r=download) and cdburnerxp (http://www.cdburnerxp.se/ which I've used in the past. I now use Cheetah and found it to be superb, very simple and problem free. It isn't free but you can get it free if you mention their product on a couple of sites, here for example and maybe your home page or someone's you know. You only need to show the mention until they verify it, then you can take it off.

Even if you buy it it only costs about £5.:beer:0 -
Thanks for your advice backflip
I don't feel quite so clueless anymore!0 -
I think Cheetah is worth the small investment. You run the programme, the first button at the top is 'Start', you click on that and a falldown menu appears where you tell the software what you want doing...burn data dvd/music dvd/data cd/music cd (plus a few more choices). Click the one you want doing, then drag the relevant files from the right side to the left side and click the 'burn' button. I've never had a failure yet.retsbed wrote:Thanks for your advice backflip
