Fathers 50th Birthday

Hi,

I'm currently racking my brain trying to think of a suitable birthday gift for my father, he turns 50 on Monday and has been so helpful with the installation of my new kitchen recently, I'd like to get him something nice.

Any ideas? I really don't know where to start.

Is he a gadget freak? Or tickets to theatre/sport? Someone of 50 isn't any different to some one younger you know, apart from probably not being interested in fashion. (I should know, that age group myself).

I got my dad a lovely watch for his 50th. Cost about £100 so nothing mega expensive but it was the first (proper) pressie I had ever got him myself, I was 16 then.
He is 65 now and still wears it every day. :j

What about something really personal like a digital photo frame already uploaded with loads of pictures that mean something to him plus some new ones of yourself and his other close family? Nice doesn't necessarily mean a lot of money and generally the things that mean most to them is their children.
