OR handing me over to agency is this normal?

I had a call today from the OR office; I have an IPO just set up, SO with Moonbeever, starts tomoz for first time actually. Also had a reply on e-mail 2 days ago saying that 'yes my ED is being processed/actioned and they are writing to my creditors, if there are no objections I should receive ED in early/mid Jan'. I am due for Auto D in March anyway.

However had a call today from the OR office telling me that they were going to hand me over to another agency(?) or summat like that and they asked me how I paid for my BR file back in March? I advised that I paid it myself; he said he needed that info as he was drawing up a report to send to this agency(?) (I didn't catch the exact description or name as I was driving) who it apears will now manage me through the IPO for the 36 months.

Is this normal?, also I am a bit concerened given the news we have all had regards IPO's and now taking all surpplus. We still don't seem to know if this is going to apply to new BR's IPO's or existing ones like myself?

Are they handing you over to RTLU? if so, then it's fine. They deal with assets.
  • Sounds like your file is being passed to the RTLU unit...they deal with assets IPA's etc NOTHING to worry about.

  • Thanks both; I will try and ascertain that; what does it stand for?

I don't have any assets at all but have just agreed my IPA, which went thru to Moonbeever today via standing order for the first time. And as I said the OR advised that they were writing to my creditors regards ED and if no objections then I should receive ED in early Jan.

I guess when I received the tele call it has just spooked me a bit having had little or no contact out of the ordinary before, coupled with the new IPO guidelines to be applied from 1/12/2010.

Regional Trustee Liquidation Unit, it's part of the Insolvency Service.

And the IPA is an asset in the BR, that is what they will deal with.
  • Thanks JCS1 that makes sense and I feel a sense of relief, cheers.
