Changes at LIDL - layout and product range

My local LIDL (Dalry in Edinburgh) has over the last few weeks changes it's store layout and has also dropped a couple of the products I especially liked namely part baked Ciabatta loaves and canned Borlotti and Cannelini beans for example - I'm sure some other stuff has also gone (I couldn't find celery but maybe it was out of stock) but until I go and specifically look for it I can't say what they are.
Has anyone else noticed this - is it this happening country wide? Making space for Xmas stuff maybe?

The Kelso store was changed a couple of months ago.
Apparently they're making them all standardised.
I don't know about the beans and the Ciabatta, they still do the normal bake your own baguettes.
I bought celery last friday, so I'd assume it was just out of stock in your store

So it'll be a countrywide change - and no doubt europewide as well if they haven't started there already - I've always found it slightly bizzare shopping in a Frecnch LIDL and seeing pretty much the same stuff in all the same places throughout the store as in the UK - kind of like it though :-)
I don't like it when shops change the store layout - quite often you're on auto-pilot when shopping and it's disconcerting to find stuff in the "wrong" place0 -
i have noticed i can no longer get the chilli con carne packet mix which we really like.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Oh no! Don't say that! their self-bake ciabatta was my all-time favourite bread to do garlic and olive bread at home. I don't think a bagette would be quite the same. How pants!0

The advantage shopping in a French Lidl is that prices are remarkably cheaper for exactly the same product. For example bars of chocolate - 74% cocoa 75 pence in the UK and 45 centimes in France. I can't imagine that transporting the stuff this much further can account for all the difference in price. That's why I get friends who live in France (as I used to) bring me supplies when they come over.
Sorry - not quite on topic I know but I get really fed up with the much higher prices in the UK.0
