Canon Powershot SXI301S - is it heavy?

I'm planning to buy a Canon Powershot SXI 301 S for hubby's Christmas. I popped into Jessops yesterday to have a look at it and one of the things I'm quite keen to know is how heavy it is. It's a fairly bulky camera but I'm hoping it's not too heavy.
Problem was the cameras in Jessops are attached to security things (for obvious reasons) so I couldn't tell the weight. I did ask if I could hold one which wasn't attached however the staff wouldn't allow that unless I purchased it first. Given that it's £329 I wasn't willing to do so and then find it wasn't practical.
Does anyone have this model and can comment?
