Contract mistake

I have been working for part of the NHS for over 3 years and recently discovered (when checking where I was on the pay scale) that they had made a mistake in my contract. My contract states that "Your basic starting salary will be £X per annum. You are on point 28 of the salary scale". The stated starting salary was the bottom of the pay scale, but that should have been point 26 of the scale, not point 28. After 3 years of increments I would expect to now be on point 29 of the scale (if the correct starting point was 26) but am only on point 28 now, which obviously needs to be rectified. But would I have any case for saying I should now be on point 31 as my contract states I started on point 28 (even though the stated salary was correspondent with a lower point)?
