Must be store specific as I was charged £15.00 then £5.76 discount with the £30+ spend at Torquay.

    Very misleading "Half-price" offer

Same here with an internet order. Phoned Tesco to complain, but they wouldn't honour the half of £15 price (which is what it says online). Not at all impressed with them over this - They've just lost a customer.
  • The thread that the Original Poster used as the source for this post has clearly shown that this deal does not work.

The OP has chosen not to inform people of this fact.

I guess Tesco are happy though.

I've reported Tescos to Trading Standards over this 'half price' offer.

May I suggest that anyone else who is annoyed with Tescos over this does the same - relevant phone number in the above linked post.
  • This thread is indeed very wrong, ive just got back from my usual tesco shop and asked myself, i was told by two seperate tesco workers that the bottle is £15 or £9 ..something (ive forgot what!) when you do a shop of £30 or more - they have just halved the orginal selling price.

However on a seperate deal - Tesco do have a baileys offer on that alright for the prices.I just got one for DS's teacher. You can get the smaller bottle of baileys (around £7 on its own) and a decent sized box of thorntons chocolates (£5.97 on there own) for a total of £8 but the offer is only valid until tomorrow HtH someone :)

This thread is indeed very wrong

Totally agree but the OP was only quoting from HDUK. Personally i think this can often be the problem when you are lifting things from another site. Lifting from that site is not something i personally like to see but that is just my opinion.

The OP has now updated but to remark they have chosen not to update it is a bit silly. Are they on the site or indeed this thread 24 hours? Of course not. Get off their case.

I just had my Tesco shop delivered and also discovered my Baileys was priced at £15 on my receipt but only £5.76 had been deducted. Rang customer services and she immediately credited me back £3, so £6.24 for my litre of Baileys,...not a bad result!

I agree really, sometimes its helpful its its codes etc as long as the original poster/website is credited but there is far to much of the same few posters just reposting HDUK posts over and over again lately.
I wasnt on anyones case - and i wasnt the only poster who said the details were wrong was i? So get off my case. Youve chosen to only partially quote my post to make your post look justified which is a little childish. Im aware the OP has changed his post now but at the time he hadnt and some people were still trying to get the deal and spending money they perhaps couldnt afford otherwise - but like i said i wasnt the only one who pointed out the error. The OP chose not to credit HDUK in his original post and therefore no one knew that the HDUK post was the one in error - Do you see my point?

    I am not understanding this.

When I look on Tesco website it clearly states the price for 1ltr as £15.00 and half price when you spend £30.00 so my maths tells me this is £7.50.

To be fair to the OP, he did credit the original poster from HUKD and indeed he always does give credit when he posts other people's finds.

I'm with you on this 100% on everything else you say.

If you'd looked I did say 'Thanks to npharvey555 on HUKD'.

Whenever I take something from there(or the other way round) I say thanks at the bottom of the post!
