Hi
I have a brass fireplace set and a few other brass items and before I get rid of it does anyone know is there anywhere that buys this type of stuff?
Thanks

A scrap metal merchant will pay you for it. I was quoted [I think] £3.60 a kilo for my old copper hot water cylinder recently and the guy said to bring all the old pipes as well as he would also buy the copper and brass in them.0

Whereabouts are you? If you're anywhere near Ahoghill/Randalstown, Thomas Hamill & Sons scrap dealers might be a good option. I weighed in some old car batteries a while back and got a few quid for them.

Same area as above but usually pays more than Hamill and recycles brass http://www.mulhollandscrapmetal.com/. See the Non Ferrous metals section
