Good luck for tomorrow Lynz- we're all rooting for you :j

Just thought of another one to add to my list- I'm going to write a letter of complaint to M&S following an appalling bra-fitting service. Note to other girlies on here- never use M&S for bra-fitting- it was so bad it was actually hilarious. You never know, they might just send me a voucher to make up for the wasted petrol and parking costs that I incurred by taking their ill-fitting items back for a refund.

Good luck on the 'no takeaway coffees' - a bit of a downfall of mine. If you must hunt out an independent coffee shop rather than office/train station. Ours makes a lovely cappuccino for 75p - virtually unheard of in the South East!

    Mine:
Change the $60 USD I have lying around to GBP and survive the week on that.
(tough considering the 2 gigs I have tickets to Thurs/Fri)
Budget and plan the party I am throwing for my friend on Sunday, with help from the Old Style folk!
    Buy no newspapers or mags.
Make study curtains. (never done anything like that before!)
Bulk make at least 1 soup and 1 hot pot type arrangement.

EDIT TO SAY - GOOD LUCK TOMORROW LYNZ!

Hi Mrs Sparkle, why was it bad? :o
I was planning on doing this this week. (and then buying the right sized bras from Primark haha)

    Hope you found a solution

Well firstly the lady had a go at me for wearing a non-maternity bra (I'm pregnant) and I said yeah, erm that's why I'm here  Then she insisted my back size had gone up 4 inches and my cup size to a DD! I tried the DD on to please her, even though I insisted it couldn't be right, and it was so baggy I looked ridiculous. She said ah, but you'll need room to grow though. Anyway, I managed to persuade her that I was a D cup and she managed to persuade me that I was a 40" back so that's what I bought. By the end of the day the bra had ridden right up my back and felt really uncomfortably loose. If you tried to put a finger between the bra strap and my skin you could actually put your whole hand there and still plenty of room.

Took the 2 bras back the next day- 20 mins drive each way + parking- then toddled off to Mothercare where it appears I'm a 38D which is what I thought all along and have been comfy ever since.

Oops, that was a bit of a long one... sorry to all the guys for the boring girly info :o

Oh loads better! So personally I'd just go to Primark and try them on rather than using M&S for expert advice. Hope you have better luck than I did if you do go to M&S!

  • don't talk about goals to me - I'm a West Ham fan :(

anyway, this week I have to spend as little as possible. Payday on Friday, everything has gone out of the account, and I have £66.36 which ideally I'd like to go off my OD.

    Last weeks goals were:

Hopefully I want to get my car back, although that's down to the garage not me. Yep, and it even cost £40 less than they'd quoted.

Not spend anything when I go see a band tonight. Yep, wavered a bit but changed my mind when I saw the price list (£2.70 for a pint at the university, no way I'd pay that!)

Finally make a decision on how to deal with my debts (seeing CAB tomorrow). Spoke to CAB and bankruptcy's the only real option.

Sign up with a GP. Kind of, I got the forms and an appointment but the first appointment to register isn't until the 31st.

    This week:

Write complaint letter to cinema about the way they treat disabled customers.

Not buy takeaway (despite social services telling me if I can't cook for myself I should just eat takeaway every night, yeah really healthy...)

Hassle social services for help again.

Try and remember to do pigsback more than once during the week.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    Good Luck Lynz :D

Yes, M&S are getting worse and worse. The fact of the matter is, no woman is one bra size anymore - each cut of bra varies. They just measure and leave you to it. Debenhams are much better, they fit the actual bra to you. Check the straps are right, check the band, everything. Much better.
And remember, bras are only designed for approx 60 wears

    Anyways...

    Last Week...
    1. Find remaining £80 for credit card Well, I paid £67.92 which was the last of my bingo profits from bingos last month (been sat on the interest since it was higher than the CC interest) so £12.08 to go
    2. Sort car insurance for 23rd Yes! £414 from Pru AND £100 cashback from Quidco :D :j :j
    3. Stick to Moozie's challenge Yup, way below :)

    This Week...
    1. Get insurance onto CC - have to get £337.62 down to £285 (rounded down) to fit £314 so need £52.62 from somewhere...
    2. Don't dip into overdraft before payday (Friday)
    3. Send Pru no-claims certificate
    4. Tidy bedroom
    5. Start English coursework for the 7th
