    But you wouldn't want her to stay married to you just because of the financial ties. That would be a totally miserable life, for her and you.

    I would calmly discuss with her, your options. You handing the keys back and allowing repossession has major implications for her financially. You going bankrupt leaves her holding all the joint debts. Maybe her new man may want to chip in some cash?

    No Silvercar financial ties not reason to stay together and I wish we could just sell and go our seperate ways, but it is not going to be like that.

    I believe her new man is not that well off and she has already gone and not yet sent me her forwarding address, if she does.

    I should not rush into anything especially bankruptcy, I will take further advice from the charities and talk again to the mortgage company although they were not too helpful last time. Our credit record is about to be trashed no matter what, but maybe it is not too late for a alternative to be found.
