To solve your immediate problem of paying off your overdraft could you not get M&S to balance transfer money into your Barclaycard account. This would leave you B/card account in credit and they will then transfer the credit into your bank account if you request it.0

I agree that, if possible, you try to stay in the family home - at least until your finances are more stable.
