50 points max per month. Still, they soon add up!
  • This offer has been on for quite a while. I keep considering it but I feel uneasy about it. Can anyone reassure me that it won't mess up my computer or do anything worse?
    It's 5 o'clock somewhere!
  • I thought about it but like all the others - Yahoo, etc. it is just one more thing cluttering up my screen.
On a financial side, it is £1 to download and 1/2p per search to a max of 50p per month or £13 for first year. This is not worth the hassle to me.

I put it on last night. I'd lots to buy from Amazon so thought I'd get the extra points for the tool bar and search (advertised in the mailing). I had no problems putting it on did my shop then disabled it because I don't like how they cut down the screen size. I've bookmarked Nectar for the Amazon site and I'll use that in future as its the only one I use often thats not on Topcashback.

So yes all ok and if you don't like it you can take it off again.:D
  • Nectar - Is it Fraud? Contacted Watchdog.

I have used every way possible to gain Nectar points. I have just lost 19000 points due to fraud. Nectar deny this can happen!

Check out my thread as above to make sure it doesn't happen to you.

this offer has been available for quite a long time now
i have found it no hassle, and the extra points a month are welcomed
  • make sure you check your online statememtns with Nectar - as Amazon are failing to show up on mine, Nectar can see I've clicked through, but are not adding the points - I have to ring up every couple of months to remind them!
  • They're offering 200 points for downloading the (free) search bar during September 2011 as well as 2 points per search during September, dropping to 1 after that.

    T&Cs -

    How to remove it -

How to remove Toolbars from Internet Explorer:
    1. Go to the "Start" menu on your computer
    2. Select "Control Panel"
    3. Go to "Add/Remove Programs"
    4. Remove the Toolbar that you no longer want
    5. Restart your computer

How to remove Toolbars from Firefox:
    1. Go to the "Tools" menu on your browser
    2. Click "Add-ons"
    3. Highlight the Toolbar you'd like to remove and click "Uninstall"
    4. Restart your browser

There is a standard and a custom installation, I chose the standard as I wanted to be sure of getting the points, although I didn't much like what it was doing - changing your domain name server (DNS). Presumably this means that they are monitoring what websites you visit, contrary to their T&Cs.

I will now remove it, having got the points because I like to keep my machine lean and clean as the more software you have downloaded and running in the background, the slower your machine.
