Starting Good Habits Early

  • Spent £2.35 so far this week, I'm still snowed in! Going to try and make it into work tomorrow though, will be interesting to see how far we get / if we get back! Just checked my bank account and my £5 reward for my Current account is in, now I'm wondering what to do with it! The sensible thing would be to put it in my ISA since I didn't create my budget with the extra £5 included per month and it needs a lot of funding before it reaches it's £5100 limit!

For some reason I've decided to start knitting again. This usually ends in disaster because I get to the end and remember I have no idea how to cast off so then I eventually unravel it all. I'd quite like to make some squares for a patchwork blanket though, don't know if I have the patience to see it through!

  • Dodged another spending bullet today, forgot to buy tights for my Christmas party and my mum picked some up instead. Must've been feeling generous, I asked how much I owed her and she wouldn't let me pay her back. Did ask a couple of times, but I'm not going to insist if she's happy :)

Had a whopping £7.65 leftover from my Miscellaneous budget last week, I hope this week is not the same, as that would mean that once again I've struggled to get out of the house.

  • Spent £1.50 today on a toastie and a chocolate bar at lunchtime, a bit unnecessary since I had my lunch with me but it was one of those days where I wanted everything to be with as little effort as possible!

Have also decided to stop my Paypal / eBay accounts from being a seperate entity to my bank account. I can't remember the logic behind keeping them seperate but it doesn't make much sense to me now.

  • 65p on a chocolate bar today, I just needed it after travelling in! The snow has made me take every day one at a time and I have no clue how I'm going to get in each day, or even if I will.

Christmas night out is soon, I know I'm going to go over budget with that, since I never had a budget for that! I'll be withdrawing £30 before I go so I'm going to have to treat that like a "loan" with myself. I expect it paid back with interest ;)
    Thank you competition posters!
