where to get decent insert/border tiles?

hope this is the right forum for this question (?).
We have a very institutional looking, tiny shower room. The shower area has floor to ceiling 600mm x 300mm white glossy tiles and the rest has the same tiles but to waist height. No inserts, no borders, no colour (floor is dark slate). We are replacing the shower cubicle and so are retiling. I assumed it would be easy to find a lovely blue-green or turquoise insert tile or border tile to put at either eye height round the shower (we are keeping the white tiles as can't retile the whole bathroom and they have to match up with the old ones). Can't find anything though.
It is having a resin tray so I can't put mosaic colour tiles on the shower floor, which would have livened things up a bit. I thought of a mosaic 8cm layer running either horizontally or vertically instead of a border or insert tile ??
I used to live abroad and got some lovely seahorse insert tiles there so easily, although they were hand made (no, can't get them again). Can't see anything here, or anything that I like. Everything seems to be black, beige or brown or that sandstony look which I don't like. I want some colour!
Walls are going to be very pale blue or green - I wanted a deeper colour but that would make the room look even smaller than it is. It's only 1.5m x 1.7m anyhow.
Any design ideas or tips on where to look would be most helpful. thanks

I don't enjoy buying tiles as I too find the choice realy limited and uninteresting.
In B&Q they do have a large selection of border tiles, some lovely coloured glass ones too but they're silly money.
It will be cheaper to use sheets of mosaic tiles as a border by splitting the sheet up so that you get several 'border tiles' from one 30x30cm sheet.
There's a company called Original Style who do lovely tiles and have couple of outlet stores. Or if you look at the sparkly glass special order mosaic tiles in Topps Tiles and see if you can get them down on price.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Hi pigeonpie,
As your thread has dropped down the Old Style board I've moved it over to the I wanna board to see if you can get more replies.
